Akala has been selling southwestern style jewelry for the last 15 years. When she opened her own business in 1999, she wanted to design pieces that would be appreciated not only in the southwest but all over the world. She loves stones and hand selects the most beautiful ones she can find from her many stonecutters and other sources. She has become well known for her unique and unusual stones. She designs our pieces that are then created by our silversmiths, most of whom are Native American craftspeople. She has also begun designing and making beautiful beaded necklaces to accent the special stones in her pendants. When you fall in love with a pendant you see here, she can create a beautiful necklace to compliment both it and you.

Akala designs in what we like to call a "contemporary" southwest style, with settings that are kept simple to accent the beauty of the stones. Most of our jewelry is set in Sterling Silver. We have also begun setting some of our stones in 14 carat Gold and 12 carat Gold Fill as well.

This woman owned business has been in operation since 1999. We were at the Tesuque Pueblo Flea Market, just north of Santa Fe, New Mexico until 2005. We gradually transitioned into doing local shows, custom orders, and wholesale. We are now evolving again to a few shows, custom orders, wholesale and mostly online business.
